Objectives


On successful completion of this program, graduates will be able to: Grant Research: Describe the fundamental concepts and principles in grant research. Research prospective funding opportunities for an organization’s funding needs. Describe the foundations of a successful (and fundable) project. Project Management and Collaboration: Network with organizations to grow partnerships and other opportunities. Manage grant research, grant writing, and other related projects by preparing agendas, building a project calendar, utilizing project management software, and more. Manage team(s). Grant Writing: Describe the fundamental concepts and principles in grant writing. Build a grant budget. Use data effectively within written communication. Apply written communication skills to prepare a persuasive and compelling grant application. In addition, graduates will be able to: Apply the principles and practices of grant writing in a variety of organizations, including non-profits, government entities, tribal organizations, and more. Build a successful grant writing career as a consultant or an in-house grant writer. Gain a preliminary understanding of: Human Centered Design practices and principles, Diversity, equity, and inclusion skills as it relates to grant writing, project evaluation and logic models.
